To forgive or not – Is it an option?

Jesus said "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop" Mark 11:25 (Amplified Bible)

This is a KEY to having your doors open. Unforgiveness on the other hand is like silent poison that continually kills the one that is refusing to exercise this principal.

Friend, Jesus said, if we have anything against anyone, we need to ask reconcile by releasing one another without which Our Father in heaven will not do the same unto us. It is vital to note that in the Lord’s Prayer this key is to be exercised to those that are tresspassing against us.

A Forgiving God

The nature of God is that HE is a forgiving God.

"If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]." 1 John 1:9 (Amplified Bible)

Psalm 103

"Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;"

Jesus showed us how to do it while on the cross

Then said Jesus, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.." And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Luke 23:34 (King James Version)

Stephen did it to those who stonned him.

"And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep." Acts 7: 58 – 60. Saul, one of those whom Stephen forgave was Saul who later became Paul the writer of much of the New Testament. You never know what God has in store for that dear one that you are holding in your heart. Friend, obey!.

Joseph did it to his brothers.

"And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." Genesis 50:20

Friend, note that there is no option but to obey the command of God.

2010 – A Year of Recovery!

Happy New Year! We thank God who has enabled us enter this great year. We are grateful for what He has done for us; expectant of what He is promising us and humbled by what He is doing with and through us. May His name be forever glorified.

This year, 2010, will be a Year of Recovery. Get Ready! My wife and I are expectant at what God is about to do.

The Bible passage from 1 Samuel 30:18-19 is a mirror of what God is going to do for us this year. We read “And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all.” (The emphasis is mine). We know that the entire Bible is written by God’s Holy Spirit and that every word is important. God could have mentioned that David “recovered all” only once but rather, he mentioned it several times. In other words, God wants us to take careful note of the fact that all was recovered. Friend, you will recall that God gave us this same Bible scripture at the beginning of last year but the emphasis was on “Focus”. This year, His emphasis is on “Recovery”.

The background of the Bible reference above is that, David was hiding from King Saul and had run to the Philistines.  David and his men decided to fight with the Philistines against the Amalekites and even gone to the battle-field but the Philistines refused their offer. When David and his men returned to their camp, the Bible says that they found that their wives, children and property taken and their city had been set on fire. David’s own people were so distressed that they even threatened to stone him. David called on God, followed directions and the Bible says that “he recovered all”.

Friend, I do not know what the enemy has stolen from you over the years but I want you to receive this glorious promise, this is your Year of Recovery!. You will recover all! In Jesus Faithful Name, Amen.

To recover is to get back, to rescue, to restore, to regain, to reclaim and to repossess.

To get back

David inquired of the Lord! David pursued as per God’s instructions and David got back everything the enemy had stolen. Friend, in this year of recovery, as you inquire of God, God will give you unique strategies to be able to get back all that the enemy had stolen from you. Broken relationships will be mended this year in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Loved ones that have disappeared and you have not heard from in a long while will be reunited with you in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. Yes, this year you will recover lost homes, lost jobs, lost finances, etc. I see it happening to you in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

To rescue

There are some people that have been bound by the enemy. Loved ones that have been chained by the enemy. Some in false doctrines and others who have been brain washed etc. This is a year of rescue. God is going to grant us uncommon strategies to rescue loved ones from the grip of satan. Salvation will spring forth in our families! This is the year addictions will be destroyed over our loved ones. The liberating power of Jesus Christ shall be evident in the lives of those that we have been calling on God for in Jesus Powerful Name, Amen. This is the year of Liberty for many!

To restore

Friend, Joel 2:25-26 will come to pass this year in our lives. It reads, “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.” This is our portion this Year of Recovery in Jesus Name, Amen. This is the year God will remove our shame. Glory to God! Expect restoration. For those whose savings and other investments have been eaten up, get ready for restoration in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Friend, do not be mistaken and think that your restoration has anything to do with the economy or the world systems. No, your restoration will be by the power of God who is able to bless you in the midst of a global recession. Glory be to God. Be expectant!

For those that are sick, this is God’s glorious promise – Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD;…”. May all this come to pass in your life in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

To regain

I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.” Ecclesiastes 10:7. Friend, this error, mistake, anomaly, recorded in Ecclesiastes 10:7 will be reversed in this year of recovery! You and I will regain our rightful positions where God has predestined us to be in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Maybe in your work place things have been done behind the scenes and you have been denied your rightful position – Expect a turn-a-round for good in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

To reclaim

In Joshua 14:6-12 We read the story of Caleb. He says “Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart….” He continues to say “lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; …..” Friend, Caleb was old but did not forget the promise he had received many years before. He reclaimed the promise he received almost forty five years earlier. In this year of recovery, bring God to remembrance. Remind Him of the prophetic utterances that you have received, remind Him of the promises in the Word – Reclaim what God has for you in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

To repossess

I do not know what the enemy has stolen from you over the years. Is it your time of prayer? Is it your desire to witness? Is it your passion for the Word? Is it your home, your finances, your child, your spouse? This is your time to repossess all in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I pray that God will release uncommon wisdom for us to step into the repossessing realm. I decree that where non-believers have taken control of vital strategic places, God is going to raise us up to repossess all that we should have had from the very beginning in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Friend, may God keep you and guide you this year and as the year comes to an end, may your testimony be that you “recovered all” in Jesus Powerful Name, Amen.

Happy New Year,

Bro. Chester

God has not forgotten you! – Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s Son

God saw Mephibosheth in the land of Lo Debar and when the time was right, He lifted him out of that land to the king’s palace. Just as He did it for Mephibosheth, He will do it for you.

Friend, you have not been forgotten

Prayer

Lord, I praise you and I worship you. I thank you for your faithfulness towards me. I know that my days are in your hands and that you know what is best for me. I choose to believe your Word which says that you will never leave me nor forsake me. I thank you that my night season is over. Thank you that like Mephibosheth, you are taking me from obscurity into the limelight. Help me to be patient and wait on you. I love you now and always in Jesus Name, Amen and Amen.
